Senior Equity Research Analyst

Our client is a fintech company specialising in the analysis and valuation of listed companies. They develop solutions designed to process large volumes of financial and non-financial data, producing strategic insights for investors and capital markets participants. The firm's analyst team builds proprietary models that combine fundamental analysis with data science.

As the company continues to grow rapidly, our client is expanding its team and looking for a Senior Equity Research Analyst to bring deep expertise in financial analysis and equity research.

The role

You will be responsible for fundamental analysis of listed companies, building and refining financial models, and producing research publications. Sitting between the Head of Research and a team of junior analysts, you will have a direct impact on the quality of the firm's output and the development of its internal methodologies.

Responsibilities

Research and analysis

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis on listed companies

  • Build and enhance valuation models and fundamental analysis frameworks

  • Formulate and present well-reasoned investment recommendations

  • Write research publications and reports for clients

Internal contribution

  • Mentor junior analysts and support their professional development

  • Contribute to the evolution of analytical models and research methodologies

  • Collaborate with technical teams working on Python-based models

  • Identify and develop new research themes and analytical approaches

Profil

Education and experience

  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering or equivalent

  • 7 to 10 years of experience in equity analysis or financial research, gained in investment banking (sell-side equity research), asset management (buy-side), or at a financial research firm or data provider

Technical skills

  • Strong command of fundamental analysis and valuation methodologies

  • Solid understanding of accounting and financial statements

  • Proven track record in writing research reports

  • CFA Level III is a significant plus

Additional skills

  • Interest in Python and quantitative modelling

  • Experience working alongside data or quantitative teams

  • Published research or financial analysis work

Languages

  • Fluent English required (written and spoken)

Compensation and conditions

  • Total compensation: €70,000 – €150,000 depending on profile

  • Predominantly fixed structure (≈ 90%)

  • BSPCE and equity participation possible depending on profile

  • Location: Europe (Paris preferred)

  • Travel expenses covered by the company
